Dr. Nathalie C. Lilavois has been an educational professional for over thirty years in a variety of teaching and administrative roles.  Dr. Lilavois completed a dual major undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and Psychology at Hofstra University and a minor in Military Science. She holds a Masters degree in Developmental Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Doctorate of Education in Literacy Studies from Hofstra University.

 

As an adjunct professor, she has taught both undergraduate and graduate teacher education courses at Hofstra University, Queens College, York College, and Dowling College.  

 

Dr. Lilavois launched TEDxDeerPark in 2017 and has curated several successful in-person and virtual TEDx events. In 2021, she hosted Money Matter$, with a small group interested in taking action to improve their financial wellness. 

 

Dr. Lilavois continues to pursue interests in the areas of literacy education, multimedia educational technology, art, community activism, cultural diversity, women's empowerment, gender equity, youth development, social justice, and health & wellness.

 

Dr. Lilavois has done numerous presentations and keynotes on a variety of topics.  Her writing is included in the Love Letters to My Girls anthology as a tribute to her daughter, an entrepreneur who is building her own business, Lilac's Vibe.  She is also a contributing author for Voices of the 21st Century: Conscious, Caring Women Who make A Difference; Sisters Inspiring Sisters; and Disrupting the Status Quo, all Amazon bestsellers.
